Ranbaxy gets approval for new anti-malarial drug in 7 African countries

Drug firm Ranbaxy Laboratories has received regulatory approval to launch its indigenously developed anti-malarial drug Synriam in 7 African nations. The company has received regulatory approval to launch its first New Chemical Entity (NCE) Synriam in seven African countries — Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroon, Guinea, Kenya and Ivory Coast, Ranbaxy Laboratories said in a statement.
